Storytelling Happenings
This past week-end Joe Estes hosted a great storytelling festival at
Trinity United Methodist Church in Hsv., Al. I was there and Kathryn Tucker
Windham, Donald Davis and Bil Lepp entertained large and enthusiastic
crowds at every telling. Many of you were in attendance. We had our table
manned and gained many new members and handed out over 200 brochures telling
about ASA!!
If you know of any storytelling events, festivals, etc. that is coming
up around the state, please e-mail me and I will have it posted to our
website.
Board Meeting in Montgomery
April 25th the ASA board will meet: 11:00AM-1:00PM at the E. L. Lowder
Public Library, 2590 Bell Road., Montgomery, AL. 36117. You are welcome
to attend. We will be discussing among other items, our first statewide
convention this fall.
Looking forward to seeing you in Montgomery or at some storytelling event
around the state!!!
Old News
Our first board meeting was held on Friday, February 7, 2009 in Clanton,
Alabama. If you were unable to attend, you'll be happy to hear that we
are now officially organized. We would love to have you join us, by filling
out the membership
form and mailing it with a check payable to the Alabama Storytelling
Association.
